Peloton is seeking a User Research Coordinator to support the innovation, iteration, and optimization of our Bike, Tread, and Digital apps. Along with the current User Research Coordinator, this role will work directly with the Product Engagement UX Researchers to facilitate research projects and programs. The role sits on the Product Design UX Research team and reports to the Director of User Research.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The following responsibilities will be shared by two to three Research Coordinators, with the opportunity to carve out and grow areas of focus or speciality among the Coordinators.

Participant recruitment and research logistics:

  • Support UX Researchers at Peloton by coordinating participants, logistics, facilities, and tools for a variety of user research methodologies including qualitative usability studies (remote and in-person, moderated and unmoderated), surveys, focus groups and in-home interviews.
  • Act as the point-person for research recruiting: sourcing participants based on Researcher criteria, outreach, incentivization and consent.
    • Work with the Product Analytics team to source appropriate research participants (as defined in the UX Researcher’s plan) from our user database and other third-party sources based on behavioral and demographic data.
    • Deliver incentivization packages to participants.
    • Be scrappy with new ideas for sourcing participants, internally and externally
    • Work between the UX Research and Member Experience teams to coordinate member outreach to potential study participants.
    • Ensure participants are properly prepared for the study, especially if a workout is involved, both in understanding what will be asked of them and signing any documents regarding disclosure, consent, release and waiver.
  • Understand and document participant availability based on the testing plan and available time slots; coordinate and confirm participant time slots and handle any scheduling changes.
  • Secure spaces (at Peloton offices, at rented spaces, and on-site or in-homes) for testing to take place. Prepare spaces including the delivery and set-up of testing equipment and prototypes, and coordinate travel for researchers/participants to the spaces.
  • Assist UX Researchers on testing days, specifically in terms of participant logistics and interaction: including supporting any “last minute issues” and assisting in getting parties to research spaces on time, and greeting members when they arrive for research sessions.
  • Generally, ensure all research participants have a positive experience with Peloton.
  • Assist Director with project intake, data aggregation, and workflow:
    • Work with UX Researchers and Design Ops to understand a long-term (3-6 month) roadmap of research tasks to allow for early coordination efforts and to develop a detailed calendar and schedule of testing events.
    • Monitor and aggregate large-scale unmoderated research sources such as beta tests, surveys, usability tests, and video diaries to help streamline analysis by UX Researchers.
    • Ensure recruiting process is compliant by working with Legal, Compliance, and Security teams.
  • Manage internal comms, research repository, and enterprise software and tools:
    • Support UX Research team at Peloton by sending out research related communications, organizing all previous research and upcoming research in a central database, and building collaborative relationships with other insights teams.
    • Support the User Research team in maintaining a comprehensive database of past research projects (including participants, plans, and findings) to avoid duplication of efforts and to maintain appropriate relationships with users.
    • Manage and maintain tools, equipment, and software licenses for the wider research team (and seek out and onboard new options when applicable.)
  • Coordinate research panels and communities and rolling research programs:
    • Manage and maintain panel of research participants, ensuring fidelity of participants and rebuilding as necessary.
    • Engage communities and build additional communities as necessary for on-demand and ongoing research efforts.
    • Coordinate and maintain a rolling research program in which product research stakeholders can engage at a regular and reliable cadence.
