UX Researcher
We’re looking for a seasoned User Experience Researcher to lead research across the company. You know, love, and geek out on a range of research methods and techniques, and have significant experience applying each of them.
About the Team
Kickstarter’s Design team works on beautiful and functional tools to help our community create, discover, explore, back, and share creative projects. We translate the company’s new identity system into its visual expression and lead identity implementation efforts across a variety of digital, physical and environmental applications. Collaborating closely with the product management and engineering teams, we solve hard problems, ensure a consistent user experience, and push the needle forward for creativity. We work to make Kickstarter more engaging, inspiring and innovative.
About the Role
You’ll partner with our Product, Engineering, Design, and Marketing teams to understand our community’s needs, motivations, and behaviors, and help translate those findings into actionable objectives. You will collaborate across teams to identify research opportunities and to guide ongoing research efforts.
About You
- You have strong experience in experiment design, usability studies, A/B testing, personas, surveys, and ethnographic research.
- You have an instinct for synthesizing user needs and distilling them into actionable design and product objectives.
- You have 3+ years experience in UX research, ideally with a focus on community-driven platforms.
- You are a self-starter who loves teaching and inspiring other cross-functional teams how to investigate, synthesize and act on findings to solve hard problems, and define new online experiences that serve the needs of the creative community.
- You are analytical, proactive, and highly collaborative.
If this sounds like you, please get in touch. Send us your resume and tell us a little bit about yourself. This position is full-time and on-site at our beautiful office in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. All full-time employees are eligible for our terrific benefits program, which includes stock options, full health/dental/vision coverage, 401k contribution, generous vacation and family leave, and a wide variety of social and cultural events. About Kickstarter Kickstarter is a Public Benefit Corporation, and our mission is to help bring creative projects to life. We measure our success as a company by how well we achieve that mission, not by the size of our profits. In our charter, we spell out our mission, our values, and the commitments we have made to pursue them.
