UX Researcher

We are looking for a UX Researcher to join our growing UX team. The UX team employs lean, user-centric methodologies to design tools that empower digital advertisers and publishers. We are responsible for understanding the needs of our users, simplifying their workflows, and distilling a massive amount of information down into clear and actionable insights. User research is critical to our success and our research practice has taken off in the last year! Now we’re ready to up our game even more.
As a UX Researcher, you’ll join a team of a dozen designers, researchers, and engineers responsible for shaping and maintaining the user experience on the IAS platform. You’ll be a valued contributor to the team, working side-by-side with our lead researcher and getting hands-on with every aspect of the research process. Working at IAS, you’ll join an established UX team in a B2B environment that enables you to hone your research craft as you help build products that people use everyday to get their work done. You’ll learn a ton and your contributions will have a big impact on the continued success of our company. This is a great opportunity for a new researcher who wants experience in agile software development at a fast-paced, enterprise technology company.
What you'll get to do:
- Partner with UX designers & product managers to ensure they have the valuable user input that they need to craft successful user-centered experiences
- Develop research project plans, conduct research sessions, participate in collaborative-analysis, and write up reports
- Gather user feedback using a variety of methods such as interactive exercises, surveys, usability testing, etc (remote and in-person)
- Support user research knowledge management: documenting, managing assets, tagging, formatting, sharing insights
- Support research operations with recruiting, scheduling, tracking participants, following-up and sending incentives, coordinating communication
You should apply if you have most of this experience:
- 2-3 years working on a UX team
- Ability to communicate clearly and engage with a wide variety of audiences
- Analytical and critical thinking skills
- Effective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
- Enthusiasm and tenacity to work with a variety of personalities
- Understanding of experimental design, design practices, and design principles
- BA/BS or greater in HCI, Cognitive Science, Psychology, Human Factors, Anthropology, Communications/Marketing, or a related field or equivalent work experience
