Visual Communications Designer (Contract)
Background
Trialspark is a software and technology company based in NYC that helps accelerate the discovery of new drugs and medical treatments by reimagining the clinical trial process. We are building a network of our own clinical trial sites and are looking to hire designers who want to join us on our journey to make clinical trials more efficient and patient-friendly.
Description
As a Visual Communications Designer, you will have the opportunity to impact how Trialspark builds relationships with patients, doctors, and customers. You will help us drive our brand forward and make clinical trials more accessible to all by creating digital, print, and physical communication touchpoints.
In this role, you will:
- Develop a deep understanding of the Trialspark brand, and then apply and extend it across Trialspark's digital, print, and physical communications
- Be a steward of the Trialspark brand and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure all communications company-wide meet graphic design standards and project objectives
- Design digital, print, and physical materials, which may include:
- Presentation decks and reusable templates
- Print flyers, posters, and brochures for business development and patient/doctor education
- Templates for online/print reports and publications for our customers
- Emails templates for patients and doctors
- Patient welcome kits
- Swag for our physicians, recruiting, and PR
- Collateral for our physician offices
- Work with vendors to execute on print/physical projects / Work with engineering team to execute on digital materials as needed
- Collaborate with our product design team and participate in design critiques to raise the visual design bar of our digital products and company website
Relevant experience
- You have previous experience in graphic design or other related fields and are an expert at layout, typography, color and story
- You have experience designing for a variety of users/audiences
- Your work samples demonstrate your expertise in working with brand systems across multiple touchpoints (ideally across digital, print, and physical)
- You’re a visual/conceptual thinker as well as a design systems expert
- You’re a wizard with Adobe CS (especially InDesign) as well as civilian-friendly tools like Google Slides and Powerpoint (and know when to choose one or the other)
- You are an excellent communicator and can clearly articulate design rationale
- You enjoy working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
