WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Marketing is a key part of driving the business at Transfix - from building the brand to the acquisition and retention of customers (who care just as much about their customers as we do) and carriers. Marketing also works tirelessly to build great relationships with key stakeholders to our business including industry experts, industry analysts and the media.

As a Senior Visual Designer, you will play a critical role in bringing the Transfix brand to life through compelling, differentiated visuals across multiple mediums and channels. You know how to take visual brand guidelines and use them to create visual assets that build awareness, drive online conversion or grab attention at a crowded trade show.

While you will work closely with our Marketing Team, you need to be a strong individual contributor, with proven ability to manage your own set of projects and communicate requests and outcomes effectively. You should also have a proven commitment to quality control, making sure everything that “goes out the door” is proofread, of the highest quality, and works for the channel of choice. You will be comfortable and confident using a variety of standard design programs, designing for a wide variety of offline and online tactics (events, direct mail, email, social advertising, etc), and creating a range of assets (infographics, slide decks, collateral, emails, landing pages, signage, etc.) for different audiences - truck drivers, F500 companies and industry analysts. Ideally, you will also have familiarity with video editing/production and photography.

What you'll do:

  • Bring the Transfix brand to life by translating it to a wide array of visual elements for the company
  • Help define and refine the optimal process for requesting, reviewing and revising design outputs; implement project management software as necessary
  • Work closely with the Marketing Content Manager to design assets that have strong copy, great design, and the optimal balance between the two
  • Create event materials, graphics, images, infographics, emails and landing pages for marketing and sales initiatives; ideally, design motion graphics and/or videos to bring our story to life
  • Work with marketing team on all campaigns across multiple forms of media; participate in A/B tests to gain learnings about what attracts our target accounts and stakeholders

What we're looking for:

  • A visual storyteller with 4-6 years of experience. Someone who will bring the Transfix brand experience into the lives of truck drivers, carriers, Fortune 500 companies, industry analysts and media
  • A strong designer who can translate a brand’s look and feel into “go-to-market-ready” visual elements (asset library, campaign elements, sales enablement materials, event toolkit, etc.); ideally, will leverage a systematic approach to creating these toolkits, leveraging templates and modular elements to create scale
  • Ability to quickly produce high quality assets in a variety of different formats, for different mediums/channels and for different purposes (online, mobile, sales enablement, conferences/events, media relations, social media, etc.)
  • Process-oriented mentality with an ability to define and refine procedures for optimal creative production - from initial request to feedback and revision to production/launch
  • Experience designing within marketing automation/email marketing tools (e.g., Hubspot)
  • Experience leveraging results from A/B tests and campaigns to optimize creative
  • Experience designing for consumers (B2C) and for businesses (B2B)

About you:

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience as an in-house or agency designer; startup experience is a plus
  • Degree in Graphic Design, Web Design or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Exceptional technical skills in the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and Indesign) as well as Invision, Sketch; working knowledge of HTML/CSS (only to guide design for email/web)
  • A solid portfolio including work examples that delivered results (awareness, conversion or both)
  • Experience designing for multiple mediums and use cases
  • Strong layout and typography skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail, excellent organization skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Constantly seeking out current design trends

Location

Transfix's NYC HQ is steps from the Oculus and Fulton Center, with access to subway train lines. We are close to tons of restaurants, shops. We are on the top floor so have wonderful light and breathtaking views, including a spectacular view of One World Trade from our outdoor rooftop deck!
