Director, Recruiting
Getting together with real people in real life makes powerful things happen. Side hustles become careers, ideas become movements, and chance encounters become lifelong connections. Meetup brings people together to create thriving communities. Show up. Change lives.
As the Director of Recruiting, you will lead and support a passionate team of recruiting experts and develop scalable talent strategy and processes to achieve Meetup’s goals for rapid growth. You will also be a recruiting partner, helping to find the best talent in our industry by using an established personal network and community-driven approach to engage the future engineers, ideators, and leaders who will make a positive contribution to our culture and our company’s success. You will build and maintain engaging relationships and raise awareness of our culture by sharing a passion for our mission. The Director of Recruiting will strategically partner with our Senior Director, Employee Experience and our partners at WeWork to define the future of our evolving organization.

- Change management; collaborate with the WeWork team to ensure a seamless transition from Greenhouse to Workday, and develop any training program needed during this, and future, conversions
- Create and conduct internal training on interviewing and recruitment best practices at all levels of the company
- Provide strategic, operational, and organizational leadership to further develop Meetup’s commitment to diversity and inclusion in the broadest sense possible

- Manage annual recruiting budget
- Work with the team in developing and managing relationships with external staffing agencies
- Stay up-to-date on HR technologies including software, AI, gamification, and blockchain technologies; assess and make a business case for adoption of these new technologies
