SUMMARY 

 Writing and editing original content for MUNCHIES.

DUTIES:

• Editing and assigning daily original blog posts and articles
• Managing MUNCHIES city guides
• Managing MUNCHIES international features content
• Managing and recruiting MUNCHIES freelance stable
• Daily CMS maintenance
• Responsible for the operation of the front page, works with MUNCHIES Editor-in-Chief and Managing Editor on longer-term editorial planning
• Manage day-to-day content for MUNCHIES: scheduling, editing and publishing
• Scout and train new contributors
• Managing junior and beat editors
• High volume posting: emphasis on culture and news traffic stream
• Publish archived content, including videos and posts
• Basic tasks: keep site fresh (carousel), responding to editorial emails, etc.
• Occasionally on call duty at night and during some weekends to ensure website and editorial content is functioning smoothly
• Able to work effectively with positive attitude in team setting and troubleshooting

EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION: 

• 5+ years of relevant website content development experience
• Strong journalism background with eye for culinary stories
• Experience developing and maintaining heavy media driven website content
• Ability to meet industry-accepted standards, specifications and best practices
• Knowledge of the VICE brand and its properties is essential
• Strong eye for compelling content in the culinary space
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in management position
• Experience with Macintosh computer programs
