We're seeking a passionate and skilled Analytics Engineer to work within our growing NYC team in a dynamic, rapidly expanding organization. The ideal candidate will have experience working directly with business-facing data analysts and stakeholders to understand data modeling requirements. In this role, you’ll also have the chance to utilize an analytical and engineering mindset to implement solutions including, but not limited to: data warehouse modeling, infrastructure, and performance, modeling complex API data, and developing API integrations. The perfect addition to our team will have an automation-focused mindset. (Not so much automation of manual work, but automation of technical work through modular code.) The ability to work with business intelligence tools or communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical folks is also strongly desired.

Our Data stack is Airflow, Pipelinewise, Fivetran, Snowflake, DBT, and Looker. SQL and Python are the glue that bring it all together.

Some of our external data sources include data from Shopify, Facebook, Google, Apple, Snapchat, and more.

You’ll make an impact by:

• Working as an analytical engineer cross-functionally across the organization, with a significant focus on e-commerce and direct to consumer data sources (Shopify, Apple, Facebook, Google, etc.)
• Transforming business and analytical needs into easily reusable data models in a data warehouse
• Documenting your work, and understanding the importance of clear documentation as a company and engineering organization grows
• Bringing analytics and development best practices; we pride ourselves on engineering and analytical excellence
• Having an analyst mindset -- analytical engineers are not just technically proficient, but also maintain business professionalism when interacting with stakeholders 

You’ll bring:

• 3+ years experience in a data engineering or analyst role, developing complex and performant SQL data models
• 2+ years Python experience. The requests library is not foreign to you 
• 3+ years SQL proficiency, experience with DBT
• A bias for action. When you see a problem, you solve it
• Ability to work with data analysts and communicate complex SQL problems in an analytical fashion 




• Bonus Points:
• Experience with Snowflake, Airflow, Fivetran
• Excel fundamentals; quality assurance goes a long way 
• Experience working in healthtech engineering or analytics
