About the Role
As an Application Support Engineer, you will join a growing data support team in Lisbon. This role is primarily related to production support. You will be working with our customer support using technical troubleshooting skills focusing on SQL and site administration. As someone who is passionate about technology, you will potentially get to work also with our product development and engineering teams on resolving customer requests and issues that demand your technical knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Perform root cause analysis of production issues by utilizing SQL to analyze data, and coordinate with production support teams and engineers to resolve issues
- Serve as the primary liaison to work cross-functionally with clients, fund administrators, and business groups to manage and rectify data exceptions
- Collaborate with Product Managers to define and implement data projects for existing and new features/workflows
- Develop exception management tools to strengthen data quality control and produce metrics/dashboards to inform stakeholders on prioritizing resolutions
- Define business and technology requirement documents for the engineering teams to develop new features or to address issues
- Develop an in-depth understanding of organizational data flow and its impact on business processes
- Write test cases and perform UAT to ensure issues are identified and addressed
Qualifications
- 2+ years of Business Analyst and/or Data/Application Support experience within financial services
- Proven track record of performing root cause analysis and coordinating with engineers on investigation and resolution
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and relationship management abilities
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, business analytics, business administration, finance or a related field
- Experience with the Private Equity and/or Hedge Fund business and data is a plus
