We are looking for a Backend Engineer who is ready for the next step in their continuing journey toward excellence, someone who is ready to teach and learn while solving hard data problems. What You'll Do

• Continue growing as technical leader on a software development team following Scrum processes
• Work with large, disparate datasets, finding interesting ways to fit them together and implementing innovative projects that expand on their usefulness
• Drive technical designs that align with strategic organizational goals
• Hone your ability to communicate constructively, courteously, and professionally
• Contribute to our culture of “collaborate and compromise”

Who You Are

• You have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
    OR
  • Comparable experience in a software engineering role
• Several years of experience in a software engineering role focusing on APIs and data transformations or related work
• You have deep knowledge of at least one programming language, and you are familiar with and excited to use Java
• You have strong familiarity with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP), and you are ready to work in the AWS ecosystem
• You have significant experience with multiple variants of SQL and NOSQL
• You consider yourself well-versed in ETL, ELT, and ETLT, and are intrigued to apply this knowledge in the domain of organic internet data
• You bring an applied understanding of distributed system design and capacity planning, and you are ready to tackle harder problems
