We are looking for a Bioinformatics Engineer to join our Digital Pathology Imaging team. Under supervision of the Principal Investigator, you will work on research projects by designing, developing and implementing software tools for processing and analyzing multimodality data in medicine, including pathology.

You Will:

  • Employ statistical methodologies on high volumes of data to solve novel problems, build software and create actionable insights.
  • Be responsible for system design, program design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation.
  • Process and analyze data from multimodality medical imaging and high throughput next-generation sequencing with an emphasis in pathology.
  • Be a part of a large inter-and intra-department multimodality imaging projects to build new medical imaging modalities to support the diagnostic process.
  • Be a part of large machine learning projects and deep learning projects for multimodality imaging.
  • Work with a unique team of medical imaging experts, machine learning experts, software engineers and medical doctors to build a new generation of artificial intelligence.

You Have:

  • Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering or related field
  • Cross-disciplinary and strong analytical skills
  • Experience in application development, algorithm development, and the building complex systems
  • Understanding of the underlying components of statistical models, software tools, specifically computational tools and algorithms used in pathology.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in 3D imaging reconstruction, visualization and analysis
  • Experience in pathology (micro and macroscopic) imaging and/or Radiology imaging
  • Experience in GUI and Data Management development. Interacting with API’s
  • Experience in DBMS (SQL Server, My SQL, C++ (C#) and Python)
