The Role

Gotham Greens is seeking an exceptional Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst with expertise building Tableau reports and dashboards to join its Information Technology Data Analytics team. This individual will partner with relevant stakeholders from across the company in order to identify business requirements and translate them into intuitive reports and visualizations that help drive business goals and decision making. We are looking for someone who’s looking to join an analytics project team from the ground up and who’s ready to take on the challenge of joining a growing team with room for growth, autonomy, and ownership.  

As the BI Analyst, you will be imperative to the continued expansion of our organization’s analytics department. We are seeking an individual who is comfortable working on the end-to-end data technical portion of the BI process - managing data in a SQL database Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), importing data and connecting to Tableau, and building dashboards as well as collaborating with members of the Gotham Greens organization to identify analytics, reporting needs and capture business requirements.

 

Areas of Responsibility

  • Develop business requirements: meet with stakeholders from across the business units to understand needs
    • Translate non-technical needs into technical specifications
  • Develop and deliver staff trainings in order to build out a group of Tableau power users across the company (up to ~25% of time)
  • Develop analyses including dashboards, reports, and other collateral
  • Present findings to stakeholders, including leadership and colleagues across the organization
  • Create easy-to-understand visualizations to tell a story behind the data

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Math and/or related field- specifically with coursework on fundamental principles of analytics and statistics/econometrics
  • 3+ years of demonstrated achievement business analysis, business intelligence, and report development
  • Tableau expertise (report development and Tableau Server)
  • Knowledge of data integration and data ingestion
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • SQL knowledge
  • Ability to facilitate working groups with diverse stakeholders with varying degrees of familiarity with BI and reporting in order to understand and capture business requirements
  • Strong project management and the ability to work on multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously
  • Familiarly and experience analyzing syndicated data
  • Experience with other data formats such as JSON, REST, XML, etc.
  • Knowledge of systems such as GIT, SVN and other code repositories
  • Experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle
  • HTML, CSS, Java, and Jscript experience a plus
  • A relentless drive to achieve goals, build relationships and solve problems- operates with passion, urgency, focus and discipline
  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills- thoughtfully articulate to forge effective relationships and drive the best decisions
  • Ability to travel (up to 10%)
