Our happy client base is growing at the speed of light and we need a few extra hands on deck! It takes a lot of time and effort to bring new clients into the Updater family. As part of the Client Success team, the [Solutions Engineer], will leverage their technical skills and partner with our Engineering team to ensure that clients are onboarded effectively and on schedule. In addition, you will support clients throughout the customer lifecycle. We're looking for a detail-oriented problem solver who is passionate about customer service and technology. What you’ll do:

  • Work with our Client Success team to prioritize and execute technical onboarding tasks, including SQL queries, writing scripts, and manipulating spreadsheets with the goal of getting clients up and running quickly
  • Create technical processes to streamline and automate all aspects of our onboarding process, from data integration to product customizations
  • Collaborate with our Engineering team to become an expert in Updater’s technology platform and communicate those details to our client Success team
  • Work directly with clients and advise them on the best way to connect their data sources with Updater’s Integrations Platform
  • Provide “go-live” support for clients in onboarding – including integration, customizations, and basic Updater support
  • Assist our Client Success team in the day-to-day operations of accounts, including maintenance, and technical customizations

What you’ll have:

  • A technical background – either a STEM education or experience at a coding bootcamp
  • A strong attention to detail
  • Experience with at least one scripting language such as Ruby, Python, or PHP
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Strong communication skills, and the ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Understanding of and experience working with APIs
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and/or Google Spreadsheets
  • A growth mindset and a desire to move into a product engineering role
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, tact, and proactive problem-solving capabilities
