Working with Caesars Sportsbook, you will be at the heart of the technological revolution with one of the world’s most trusted betting and gaming companies. Caesars Sportsbook deals with projects ranging from desktop or mobile casinos and betting sites, to name a few. We process 500 online Sportsbook bets per second each Saturday, that’s the same as the number of orders processed by Amazon UK, on its busiest day of the year. Our high performing Cloud & Tooling team is building the next generation of cloud capability to enable our product teams to adopt AWS and public cloud. You’ll build & run services used by across the business, you’ll help drive best practices standards such as infrastructure as code.

You will be part of a team that is passionate about driving *very* high standards that form part of our AWS Landing Zone and cloud offering.

The Cloud & Tooling team provide best practices, patterns & consultancy to our product teams so we can deliver applications to market faster.

What You Will Do:

  • Help drive our expansion into Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Build & maintain our AWS Landing Zone and Cloud Capability
  • Enable our services to be self-served to ensure teams are autonomous as possible through automation
  • Work hand in hand with architects to drive key architectural designs and drive proof of concepts
  • Drive very high standards and best practices, automate all the things!
  • Be at the forefront of the latest tech in native cloud technology to ensure we’re continuously improving our cloud capability
  • All aspects of workload migration into AWS along with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
  • Working within an agile engineering squad to further advance our capabilities and improve our cycle time for feature delivery
  • Ensure that security, operational and supportability guidelines are factored into the construction of any solution
  • Be active in our communities of practice across engineering and development to continually enhance our collective knowledge
  • Mentor junior engineers in the team
  • Review pull requests and provide constructive feedback
  • Be responsible for some auxiliary tooling such as GitLab.

What You Will Need:

  • Fluent in Cloud / AWS Platforms
  • Excellent knowledge & Hands on experience of Terraform/Packer and Infrastructure as code (IaC) technology including automated testing
  • Hand on experience writing reusable modules ready for consumption by anyone in the business
  • Experience with containerisation technologies
  • Excellent experience of AWS Lambda (ideally written in Python & Boto3) including monitoring
  • Extensive experience with CI/CD infrastructure pipelines
  • Excellent knowledge of networking fundamentals, firewalls and load balancers
  • Good Experience with at least one of the following languages: Python, Go, Node, Ruby
  • The ability to debug code locally and remotely
  • Knowledge of configuration management, provisioning, and orchestration tools (Puppet & Ansible)
  • An excellent understanding of observability including monitoring and alerting (AWS Cloud Watch, New Relic, ELK, Prometheus
  • Experience of working in an Agile development environment
  • Experience with Kubernetes (EKS would be a bonus)
  • Understanding of Kubernetes ecosystem including helm, helmsmen, helmfile etc)
  • Experience with programmatically consuming APIs
  • Knowledge of opensource methodology

  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time                                          
  • Must be able to type and talk on the phone for extended periods of time                                     
  • Regular attendance in the office
