Your Impact
Handshake is hiring a Corporate Security System Engineer who will play a vital role in keeping the Enterprise safe from cyber-attacks. This individual will report to the Head of Information Security and work closely with the stakeholders throughout Handshake. In this role, you will work & help to safeguard and secure enterprise networks and systems by supporting security requirements, planning, implementing, and testing security systems, preparing security standards, policies, and procedures, and mentoring team members. The Corporate Security System Engineer will be working on implementing software and processes to protect organizational information, such as Email Security, Endpoint Detection & Response, and Secure Web Gateway (SWG) technical programs.
Your Role
We’re excited for you to work on:
- Support security solutions by utilizing tools to monitor and maintain EDR, Secure Web Gateway (SWG), virtual private networks (VPNs), and related security and network devices.
- Support secure email protocols, routing, and configuration (e.g., DMARC, DKIM, SPF, DLP, SPAM filtering)
- Establish baseline desktop images with best-practice security policies
- Support tasks related to public key infrastructures (PKIs), including the use of certification authorities (CAs) and digital signatures and hardware and software.
- Develop, execute, and track the performance of security measures to protect the information, network infrastructure, and computer systems.
- Collaborate with IT team members, managers, and executives about the best security practices and provide technical advice.
- Maintain security by monitoring and ensuring compliance to standards, policies, and procedures; develop and conduct training programs.
- Assess security requirements by evaluating business strategies, researching information security standards, conducting system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments, studying architecture/platform, and identifying integration issues.

Your Experience
- 5+ years of Security Operations experience in hyper-growth, fast-paced, dynamic and innovate environments leading corporate security operations.
- Strong knowledge of current cyber security NIST and CIS frameworks.
- Functional experience designing security controls and countermeasures for operating systems, applications, Web services, user devices, and wireless networks.
- Hands-on design and implementation experience with Email Security Systems/tools; Proofpoint, Mimecast, Barracuda Total Email Protection, and Cisco email secure.
- Experience managing corporate phishing programs and campaigns, measurement and reporting, and awareness and education.
- The ideal candidate must have experience managing and maintaining one or more key information security systems, including; Zscaler Internet Access, Forcepoint, Perimeter81, Cisco Umbrella troubleshooting and analysis, and other key security technologies.
Bonus Areas of Expertise
- BeyondCorp / Zero Trust implementation interest or experience
- Certifications: CompTIA, CISSP or equivalent.
For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
