Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform and manage the monthly financial reporting close process to ensure that financial transactions are properly captured, complete and accurately reported and compliant with US GAAP.
  • Manage the day-to-day accounting function consisting of bi-monthly AR/AP cycles, quarterly rebate processes, and annual reconciliations. Manage operational accounting and systems management
  • Provide technical accounting expertise in SAAS and healthcare revenue recognition topics under ASC 606 including variable consideration, multiple element arrangement considerations, timing of revenue recognition, gross versus net accounting treatment, and accounting for new products and features
  • Provide technical accounting expertise in other accounting areas including share-based compensation, ASC 842 leasing, capitalized expenses, internal use-software, judgmental estimates and reserves
  • Analysis of monthly account reconciliations
  • Manage user support and administration for Sage Intacct, Vena, Concur, Amex including maintenance of chart of accounts, account mapping, posting journals, training, application changes and new functionality
  • Continually evaluate system processes across the organization and lead projects to streamline and improve internal and external reporting by engaging with business users to stay informed of possible changes in accounting and reporting requirements and / or changes in the structure of the business
  • Lead the internal process and external support for annual audits, quarterly reviews, tax filings, state registrations etc.
  • Ad hoc projects as needed

Qualifications / Profile:

  • CPA required; Undergraduate bachelor’s degree, with record of strong academic performance in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics of other quantitative fields.
  • 5+ years of prior Accounting experience; Big 4 public accounting required; PBM/Healthcare/SAAS experience preferred
  • Strong system skills such as ERP system (Sage/Vena preferred) roll-outs and/or scaling system implementations preferred
  • Ability to challenge and improve existing processes through automation and redesign.
  • Excel at project management including ability to establish and consistently meet deadlines of a growing company.
  • Motivated team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced, forward-moving environment
  • Experience performing complex analyses on large sets of data with knowledge of data management, statistics, modeling.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail & commitment to delivering high quality work product
