About Us!

Remesh was founded in 2014 with the mission to create a technology that could truly represent the collective intelligence of the people and amplify their unified voice. To date, we have raised $38 million to execute this mission. We are excited to be disrupting the $70+ billion insights industry.

We are a team of passionate, motivated, and intelligent people, with a touch of quirk (i.e., we have fun)! We are all united by a mission to build a platform that can help people truly understand each other - across political, geographical, and cultural divides - to help make the world a better, more understanding place.

We believe in the power of discovering the Truth which requires engaging with each other, exchanging ideas, and having a dialogue with groups of people at a massive scale. The Remesh platform is dynamic in that it can scale live conversation of one-to-several people to one-to-many. It uses NLP and machine learning to analyze, understand, and segment participant responses to questions and prompts, online and in real time. Through this process, our customers are able to quickly draw out actionable insights as they engage hundreds of participants simultaneously.

About the Role

At Remesh, Software Engineers are helping build the world's most trustworthy approach to engaging and understanding massive groups of people in real-time. In doing so, we encounter real engineering problems every day that require a high level of sophistication and expertise. We deal with things like, improving and maintaining a highly-available machine learning data pipeline, expanding our extremely high-volume real-time conversation platform, and improving our architecture and infrastructure to remain modular, maintainable, and performant.

But they can't do it alone, which is why we need an experienced DevOps professional who can build and lead our DevOps team and function. As our DevOps Manager, you will partner with our Director of Engineering to define, implement and drive best practices in DevOps technologies and philosophies. Your team will build and operate our cloud-based systems to ensure security, high-availability and scalability within our platform. You will develop tools and processes that enable our engineering teams to deliver continuously and efficiently. Additionally, you will promote a strong reliability culture by partnering with our software engineering, security and architectural leads to solve critical operational problems and enable our company to keep growing.

The right candidate is a DevOps leader who loves technology, solving problems, and collaborating to build great systems that your stakeholders enjoy and rely upon. As a high-growth start-up, we need someone who will thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment and take ownership of our DevOps domain and systems and make them their own. We need someone that is empathetic, humble and cares about their people as well as their technology. The right candidate will enjoy being hands-on as they set up and grow their team.

This is an uncommon opportunity for the right candidate. You will have a strong starting position to work from, allowing you to have rapid impact. This includes a solid existing technology base (modern IaC stack, working, documented and built using best practices) which you will be free to change. You will be supported by a successful, high-functioning engineering team. This includes experienced management who are former engineers and will get you what you need to be successful.
