About the Role
The Director of Engineering will be responsible for developing and overseeing our integrations strategy for all business and financials systems at WeWork. WeWork is a very dynamic environment that is rapidly growing and expanding into new regions, so our ability to build scalable integrations that can grow with the business is key. The ideal candidate will have experience leading a team of engineers and guiding the team to build and maintain business critical systems while also being able to sit with business partners to strategize solutions.
Responsibilities
Partnering with Product, establish the vision and strategy, as well as the goals to measure success
Build, mentor, and lead a world-class team of engineers, while creating and evolving the ideal organizational design
Understand the needs of internal users, and drive adoption of the platform around the company
Foster a culture of engineering excellence
Requirements
10+ years of relevant industry experience and 5+ years experience being in a leadership position
Experience managing a distributed team of software and integration engineers and partnering closely with distributed stakeholders
Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment, while building extensible and scalable solutions
Strong organizational, analytical & problem-solving skills
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Ability to effectively simplify and communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
Finance technology background preferred
