Joining Collibra’s Perform Product Portfolio Engineering team:

  • You will be joining a fast growing Engineering team who are focused on engineering and delivering the exciting future products for Collibra.
  • You will be joining this team early in its journey and helping build out a much larger distributed engineering organization.
  • We currently have an amazing team of brilliant engineers to work with and want to continue to build out a diverse and productive team to deliver on an inspiring and ambitious strategy to change the data intelligence landscape.

Engineering Directors at Collibra are responsible for:

  • Ensuring Engineering teams are enabled and empowered to develop and deliver high quality software.
  • Setting the culture of the engineering teams to align to Collibra’s values and the Product organizations ethos.
  • Measuring, evaluating, and improving performance and efficiency of engineering teams.
  • Planning and aligning on future roadmap with peers in Product and ensuring positive collaborative relationships exists at all levels between Product, Design, QA, Operations, and Engineering.
  • Building out the team to ensure capacity of organization can deliver on the roadmap.

You Have:

  • At least 8 years managing engineering or technically focused teams
  • Experience delivering software using Agile methodologies
  • Experience managing teams that deliver software in a SaaS environment
  • Previous experience as a software developer and/or software architect
  • Bachelor's degree or higher

You Are:

  • Experienced with software development lifecycles and understand healthy engineering behavior
  • Passionate about helping various teams collaborate efficiently including Design, Product, QA, etc
  • Focused on developing Engineers who are pragmatic and passionate about our customers.
  • Committed to diversity, transparency, and developing productive teams.

Reporting to Collibra’s Sr. Director of Engineering - Perform Portfolio, measures of success are:

  • Within your first month, you will get familiar with the organization. You will meet with the architectural team, the product management teams, and the engineers in order to begin establishing a relationship.
  • Within your third month, you will be managing delivery of a Product from the Engineering perspective and also hiring new team members to ensure acceleration of delivery for our Data Matching Product.
  • Within your sixth month, you will be making changes (as needed) to the engineering process of the team(s) reporting to you to ensure they adhere Operations and Excellence Standards and providing recommendations for future hiring needs.
  • Within a year, you will likely be building out a management team as the number of teams developing new features and products will grow.
