Engineering Coach

As an Engineering Coach you will foster a culture of learning and growth within IAS’ R&D organization while driving global consistency in execution. This individual will be a catalyst that transforms engineering teams by helping them unlock their potential. We are looking for an experienced coach that combines consumer product and growth expertise with the ability to enable teams to improve their productivity, throughput and predictability using agile principles and improving team health.
You’ve been a part of shipping impactful products before, and now you’re focused on teaching others how to continually improve their delivery quality and pace. The ideal candidate is someone who has a strong toolkit of agile software development frameworks, but who believes in being pragmatic about getting to that ideal state. You value being part of a team that is greater than the sum of its parts.
What you’ll get to do:
- Partner with senior leadership to coach and assess product development teams
- Provide 1:1 coaching to help level up individuals at IAS
- Contribute to Coaching org Agile strategy development and roadmap
- Evaluate team health metrics and make recommendations to teams and management for improvements.
- Identify ways to continuously optimize and improve performance of teams and groups within your remit
- Work cross-functionally to improve existing content, and create new content as required, including but not limited to documentation, training materials, recorded training sessions, automation, gamification, and certifications.
- Measure, track, and report on training effectiveness.
You should apply if you have most of this experience:
- Experience shipping product, in a variety of roles from developer to leader, manager or coach
- 5 years of hands-on experience with scrum, kanban and other agile practices
- Strong presentation, coaching and facilitation skills
- Capable of multitasking and transforming multiple teams at once
- Experience coaching individuals and teams across all levels within the company
- Able to influence peers / managers and build consensus while dealing with ambiguity
- Excellent communication skillsCertified Scrum Coach or Kanban Coaching Professional
- Have had exposure to highly-available, scalable software and services
- You have done experimentation and data driven decisions in an agile environment
- Strong background of shipping projects with broad customer impact
- Tried ability to identify and resolve systemic issues
