The Opportunity

As an Engineering Lead, you will partner with multiple delivery teams of passionate technologists to architect and deliver high quality, scalable and flexible software solutions. You will perform technical deep-dives into code, systems design, cloud architecture, storage, CI/CD, observability and systems reliability.

What You'll Do Day-to-Day

• Be a hands-on part of a multidisciplinary team to build next-generation software products (full-stack) and solutions
• Be accountable for delivering well-architected, scalable designs and solutions
• Mentor Engineers on architecture, coding and systems design best practices
• Keep the engineering organization aligned on OKRs and other business objectives
• Author technical documents and artifacts for all stages of the software development life cycle

• You have extensive experience developing fault-tolerant, scalable, and secure applications using best practices, modern tools, and architectural patterns.
• You care about quality and you know what it means to ship high-quality code
• 10+ years of relevant production work experience in back-end, web or mobile development; preferably in GoLang or Typescript
• You are experienced with modern front-end web or mobile development; preferably in JavaScript, TypeScript and React/React Native
• You have experience with Node.js, related web frameworks, GraphQL and keeping GraphQL performant
• You're pragmatic. Sometimes a beautiful solution is impermanent and expedient. You know how to make the call.
• You have excellent communication skills, are comfortable with asynchronous communication, are able to work independently and attentive to sharing context with the rest of your team
• BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering, MIS or proof of exceptional skills in related fields, with practical software engineering experience
• You have a extensive knowledge of SQL and experience working with a variety of types of databases and data stores (we currently use Postgres, Redis, and DynamoDB)
• You’re aware of top web applications and back-end security risks and techniques for mitigating them
• You have experience using AWS services and tools in a production environment
