At ActionIQ, our engineers are responsible for building the only scalable CDP in the market. Specifically, we are responsible for:
- an easy to use product that connects customer data, insights and experiences to allow for truly personalized marketing
- a proprietary data storage and query layer that enables our platform to offer our clients immediate access to terabytes of their data real-time,
- the hosting of the ActionIQ platform and the underlying services for our clients.

About The Role
ActionIQ is looking for an engineering manager to lead our Activations team which is responsible for defining the channels, export integrations and tooling that enables us to deliver customer-focused data to their marketing destinations. One of the primary responsibilities of this team will be scaling the platform to meet strong market and customer growth. In order to be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have a strong data-driven mindset focusing on scaling and operating a reliable product.
In this role you will be responsible for leading and growing this team, providing guidance and mentoring, and collaborating with Product to drive the roadmap and initiatives forward.

Requirements
The expectations of the role are:
- Partner with SRE and SysOps to help maintain SLAs and SLOs and and improve our operational excellence and efficiency
- Own the last last-mile integration strategy, ecosystem, and roadmaps
- Work with our Design and Product teams to identify opportunities, define features and set the roadmap for the Activations team
Requirements
This is a high impact engineering management role and is best suited to someone who is excited to work in a growing startup and wants the opportunity to shape our future success.
- Excellent problem analysis and solving skills
- Engineering team management experience
- Agile team project management experience
(as a Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Tech Lead) - Experience recruiting, coaching, and retaining engineers
- Experience with queue based, highly scalable architectures
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Familiarity working with and building complex, distributed systems
- Experience owning and evolving a complex technical platform over a multi-year span
- Long-term team and portfolio management - roadmap planning and prioritization, managing technical debt, distributing work amongst engineers, and owning an agile development process
