Meeting your future team:

  • Collibra’s Site Reliability Engineering team is responsible for the observability, reliability and scalability of Collibra’s Software as a Service platforms.
  • The Engineering Manager will manage a team of SREs and Performance Engineers responsible engaged in the mission of building the tools used to enable the SRE mission.
  • Lead with confidence is a value we weave into our daily approach to building a world class, at-scale software platform for supporting Collibra’s production systems. Using innovative approaches to tackling complex problems we promote a strong, confident engineering culture.

Manager, SRE's at Collibra are responsible for:

  • Leading an inclusive, collaborative and innovative team of SREs fulfilling the team’s mission.
  • Bringing clarity on the team strategy, context and company vision.
  • Helping the team set the right expectations with product managers, engineering teams and other stakeholders.
  • Providing feedback and guidance to SREs on the execution of their role.
  • Staying up to date with industry trends, ensuring the team is using best-in-class tools and practices to fulfill its mission.

You Have:

  • 6 years’ experience as an Engineer, preferably a Systems Engineer or Software Engineer and at least 2 years’ experience leading Engineering teams.
  • At least 3 years experience running Production environments in a Public Cloud setting, e.g. AWS, Google Cloud or Microsoft Azure.
  • Expert knowledge of modern observability techniques and practices, e.g. distributed tracing, application performance monitoring, logs, and metrics.
  • Expert knowledge of systems development processes and best practices.
  • Worked in a diverse and multicultural environment.

You Are:

  • Able to lead an engineering team by example, producing work/code when necessary.
  • An excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Continually looking for best practices, ensuring the team is staying innovative and always improving.
  • Ambitious; your team’s growth is your success.

Measuring Success:

  • Within your first month, meet the team, get onboarded with our products and practice areas and start leading your team’s Agile practice.
  • Within your third month, you will have a good understanding of the team, their challenges and priorities.
  • Within your sixth month, you will have a good understanding of the team’s products, and start contributing to the team’s roadmap and strategic vision.
