What is Vertoe? 
Vertoe is NYC’s first and highly rated daily & luggage storage provider with over 70 locations. We operate as a marketplace where we connect anyone looking for short term storage (few hours or days) to local shops that have space. All the local shops are carefully vetted by our team. Founded by individuals who have worked at Google, Microsoft, Lindt and Penguin Random House in the past, we are a young startup that’s growing very quickly and currently, part of world’s #2 ranked Techstars Accelerator Program (one of 12 selected startups out of 1600+ who applied)!

Our requirement: 
We are looking for a driven leader who can lead our effort for iOS, Android and web development efforts and has the willingness to always learn new technologies depending on business needs. Although your primary role will be to lead app development, we expect you to be thinking through the user lens to also drive our product design and development across all platforms. If you’re an engineer who envisions a path between engineering and product, this is a perfect fit for you! We envision this person to have the ability to grow into a senior role quickly as the company expands to be a nationwide player soon. 

Please note that this position requires a full time commitment in NYC and Vertoe will not be able to sponsor a visa.

Roles and responsibilities: 
- Lead hands-on development of our iOS and Android apps along with supervising our web development efforts. 
- Be the functional leader for our 4 member tech team based in India. You’ll be the main point of contact between the CEO and our India team. 
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and effectively communicate and drive product development from conception to launch for new features. You’ll closely work with the CEO on product development. 
- Work with UX designers, developers and QA to lead product development efforts across all platforms. 
- Ability to R&D on new technologies and always be willing to go out of your comfort zone to learn new things and implement in our tech stack. 
- Educate and train our tech team about latest technologies. 
Minimum requirements (non negotiables) - 
- Hands-on experience and proven ability to develop iOS and Android app development from scratch. 
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Hindi.

- Can envision the future and grow into a leadership/managerial role as the business grows. 
- Great communication skills to talk to multiple stakeholders from business, operations, marketing, UX, engineering and QA. 
- Is a hustler and can be quick and scrappy to execute fast! 
- Good handle of KPIs and analytics to measure product performance and inform development roadmap. 
- Ready to wear multiple hats and help out with whatever is the need of the business. 
- Startup experience is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits 
Salary - $80-90K 
Equity - 0.1% - 0.25% for the right candidate.
