The Role:

Oden's Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) is an engineering team dedicated to helping Oden Clients connect their machines across factories. As an FDE you will bring technical expertise to the front lines, working directly with clients to design and implement the least invasive solution to pull accurate real-time data.

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will own (1) configuring and validating data in the Oden Platform (2) updating hardware components and processes based on in-house protocol testing (3) interfacing closely with clients. Besides raw curiosity, it is important to be detail-oriented and adaptable as we are working to make a positive impact in an industry on the verge of a technological revolution.

Responsibilities:

General

• Responsible for the installation and service of the Oden Platform

• Travel up to 50% to new factories to deploy devices

• Provide pre and post sales support by maintaining close working relationships with sales and customers to ensure expectations are met and Oden installations are handled as planned.

• Observe all safety rules and OSHA regulations and performs job in a safe manner

Project Management

• Develop and maintain viable long-term relationships with customers, integrators, and subcontractors.

• Manage client progress meetings as required.

• Analyze project financials and project schedules to proactively address potential problems.

• Effectively communicate project progress, issues and financial status to management as required.

• Manage risks and establish project recovery plans when required. Resolve disputes with minimal need for escalation.

• Maintain and develop documentation for client machines and control systems.

• Manage inventory, keep accurate records, and return unused and failed parts promptly.

• Manage the selection, ordering, and delivery schedule of materials to be procured for the projects assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• BS Electrical Engineering or similar

• 2+ year of proven project management experience

• 1+ years of engineering experience

• Great team player with strong oral and written communication skills

• Focus on Client Experience and professional relationship build

• Adaptive nature in time constrained environments

• Organized, independent worker

• Curiosity and enthusiasm about technology and manufacturing
