The Particle team is looking for a software engineer who is looking for their next challenge in a customer facing role. This individual will work closely with our new and existing clients, facilitating their technical onboarding, implementation, and ongoing support. You will work closely with our Customer Success and Engineering teams, serving as the technical expert to make sure clients are delighted and engaged with our suite of products.

To succeed in this role, you must have strong backend development skills, ideally experience developing and implementing API based technologies. You will be able to dig deep into our customers’ systems and work with them to develop the most successful integration path between their systems and ours. You are excited about learning new systems which will present unique challenges and will be able to apply previous learnings on an ongoing basis.

Previous customer facing experience or a strong desire to work with customers as a technical resource, is encouraged.

What You'll Do

• Lead the design and development of client integrations focused on quickly integrating new customers onto the Particle Health API
• Own evolving our integration playbooks & tooling to develop a scalable and repeatable process
• Act as a technical resource on sales calls, ensuring that a potential customer understands the technical needs of the system
• Communicate directly with clients to diagnose and resolve issues.
• Work to identify technical risks and devise mitigation strategies in anticipation of customer needs
• Investigate and triage user-reported bugs our structured logging, tracing and metrics infrastructure
• Contribute learnings from customer systems to our core APIs and future tools.

Requirements

• BA or BS; computer science, mathematics, or related field preferred
• 4+ years of software development experience
• Experience working with modern web services, APIs and SDKs
• Experience with backend/system languages such as Go, C++, Java, Rust, and Python
• Located or willing to work in NYC
• The ability to support and collaborate with multiple teams
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Experience in a client facing role preferred
• Experience working with healthcare data preferred
