JW Player is looking for a creative, driven, and forward-thinking individual with excellent interpersonal skills to join our Design team as a Front-End Engineer. In this role, you will work with a cross-functional team to maintain and enhance our public company, support and developer websites. You will help us drive our websites forward by leading the visual and technical implementation of our public-facing sites.

You will also have the opportunity to take customer feedback and ensure that design, technology and contents of the company’s public websites address user needs.

Responsibilities

• Development support for the JW Dashboard and our Developer and Support sites
• Work directly with designers and product managers to prototype new features
• Collaborate with product engineering teams to build developer tools and demos
• Review developer community pull requests for Developer Showcase demos
• Interact with customer facing APIs and provide feedback to engineering teams
• Create cross device/browser tests for implementations
• Drive innovation by experimenting with new technologies

Requirements

• Expert HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, React
• Experience with Node, Grunt/Gulp, SASS/LESS, Angular
• Experience with git and version control
• Cross-browser compatible coding
• Ability to architect scalable front-end frameworks
• Experience with mobile compatible/responsive coding
• Ability to effectively manage time and hit deadlines
• Motivated, self starter in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working with the agile product process

Bonus Points 

• Experience with D3 and developing data visualizations
• Experience working with the JW Player API
• Experience working with video technologies
