We are seeking to hire a Front-end web developer (with solid foundation of Wordpress Development) in our Brooklyn NY studio to help with website and web app projects. The developer candidate needs to have a high-level of competence with WordPress best practices, Front-End web development, PHP/MySQL, JavaScript.

The developer should also be well-versed in mobile responsive design using frameworks such as Bootstrap or Foundation CSS. The developer should be familiar with testing for cross-browser compatibility issues and load time.
 

Qualifications Include: 

• 3-5 years of WordPress website development

• Responsive mobile development with either Bootstrap or Foundation CSS

• Must be skilled in writing clean, efficient code

• HTML5 and CSS3 and skilled with Interaction Design

• Experience with jQuery, JavaScript, or PHP

• Knowledge working with version control (Git or Beanstalk)

• Knowledge of templating languages, static site generators, build tasks (Webpack, Gulp, NPM), AJAX and API

• Familiar with React

• Ability to modify and customize plugins and create new plugins, as necessary

• Knowledge of internal SEO optimization a plus

• Familiar with Sketch / XD / Figma and Adobe Suite as needed to extract front-end UI

• Comfortable with managing server environment and 3rd party tools including Cloudflare and similar. 

• Ability to communicate and translate technical build into clear specs for clients and non-technical support staff

• Interest in App development
