PeerIQ is looking to hire a full stack software engineer eager to build great products and capabilities for our analytics platform, including tools for data analytics, reporting, visualizations and large scale computation. You’ll tackle a wide breadth of engineering challenges, owning core builds of major new products and feature releases.

The ideal candidate is a self-starting engineer proficient in multiple languages and tools, who enjoys solving difficult technical and business challenges, ranging from back-end scalability to analytical functions and aggregation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the design and development of our new web-based analytics modules, visualizations, RESTful APIs, and other platform toolkits.
  • Lead integration projects with major clients and strategic partners.
  • Support the development and performance of our front-end and back-end architecture.
  • Work closely with our product, research, and capital markets leads on both prototyping and iterative development.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or equivalent experience
  • 2-4 years of software engineering experience with focus on developing web applications and RESTful APIs
  • Expertise in one or more of the following languages: Python, Scala, Go, Javascript
  • Familiarity with CI/CD build tools and techniques, including one or more of the following: Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, CircleCI
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following database and document store technologies: Postgresql, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Redis, Amazon S3
  • Ability to work smoothly with other engineers, product managers, and designers
  • Systematic problem solving approach, coupled with a strong sense of ownership and drive. 

BONUS QUALIFICATIONS

  • Securities pricing/valuation experience, particularly in the fixed-income space
  • Understanding of consumer credit products (credit cards, personal loans, etc.) and consumer behavior
  • Web architecture and infrastructure experience
  • Familiarity with Ember.js (or other front-end web frameworks) is a plus
