At Papa we provide a service that connects younger adults to older adults who need assistance with companionship, household chores, technology and transportation. Papa’s mission is to provide an incredible experience to older adults, reducing loneliness VIA technology and innovation.

We are looking for a Full Stack Senior Developer to join our organization as we grow rapidly into our next phase of development. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency using Elixir/Phoenix with GraphQL API as well as React Native and Postgres. Experience paired with a deep understanding of developing and deploying applications in cloud environments is strongly preferred. Of note: Papa is a venture backed company out of YCombinator (S18). Our investors include Initialized Capital and Sound Ventures.

About You... :

• You are an experienced Full Stack Developer who is passionate about working with a growing startup and delivering key solutions

• Have prior leadership/coaching experience and work well with others

• Adapt easily to change, are capable of meeting tight deadlines, thrive in a fast-paced environment with small focused teams and welcome challenges

You have:

• At least 5+ years of experience in a Full-Stack Developer position

• Proficient with the following:

  • Elixir/Phoenix with GraphQL API

  • React-native

  • Postgres and Redis

  • Kubernetes, Terraform and AWS experience

• Strong analytical skills

• High sense of urgency with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

• Team oriented, positive team player attitude

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• High degree of organizational skills

• Self-motivated and willing to do what it takes to get the job done

Required/Preferred Qualifications:

1. Elixir/Phoenix (first choice), Ruby on Rails (second), Python (third)

2. React Native and React (A Must)

3. Postgre (A Must)

Location:

Miami, FL or New York City, NY
