About the role

Paperspace is looking for highly motivated engineers to help us architect the future of machine learning and GPU cloud computing. This position requires a love of software and a willingness to jump between many levels of a stack. In this role, you'll be helping to build out the public API services used by our clients and SDKs, and you will be implementing new user scenarios for machine learning practices. Our stack makes use of an ORM layer and a high performance framework on top of Express.js. You should feel comfortable building and debugging all parts of any scenario especially the middle tier API layer in Node.js. There will also be opportunities to work in other parts of the stack, including the database layer, the message broker layer, and backend services written in Go or other languages.

The ideal candidate should be interested in new tech/frameworks/tools and very experienced in Javascript, Node.js, TypeScript, and GraphQL to name a few.

Excellent communication skills are essential.

Technical Requirements

• expert in Javascript

• some production deployment / DevOps experience (Docker, CI, Kubernetes, etc) 

• Git/GitHub experience, including merging, rebasing, and pull requests 

• experience working in SQL and/or with NoSQL datasources
