Job Description

We seek developers and engineers who are passionate about solving production problems through teamwork and innovation, while leveraging development and engineering best practices. In this field, you will build data models, monitoring and telemetry solutions, system and application resiliency (repave) solutions, and drive release management solutions through software development and platform engineering. You will work with agile product teams and partner with product engineering teams to drive improved product availability, observability, and cost reduction.
Responsibilities:

  • Ability to apply system thinking across large global private and public cloud deployments and large-scale application platforms
  • Capable of leading software-based feature teams and or complex deployments
  • Applies strong software development practices, cloud-based architecture patterns in building and deploying solutions
  • Works with development teams throughout the software life cycle ensuring sustainable software releases
  • Architecture experience is applying resiliency patterns to drive availability
  • Drive the concept of SLOs, SLIs and error budgets to ensure stability and performance
  • System thinking - Lead and participate in performance tests: identifying bottlenecks, opportunities for optimization, and capacity demands; participate in systems design & architecture reviews associated with Resiliency and Telemetry implementation
  • Ability to leverage analytics, usage patterns and telemetry to understand, troubleshoot and resolve issues and build proactive measures to mitigate future issues


Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a software engineering discipline
  • Experience in Python and Java programming, Microservices Engineering
  • Experience in CI/CD, Jenkins pipelines
  • Experience in source code management using GIT, Bitbucket
  • Experience is architecture and code reviews
  • Experience with Docker Containerization, Kubernetes
  • Experience with Big Data, NoSQL, Linux / Windows
  • Working knowledge of configuration management practices and tooling
  • Ability to create and deploy infrastructure code through industry standard tools (i.e. Terraform)
  • Experience in deploying a continuous repave-able environment
