LeafLink is seeking an experienced Head of Engineering to join our fast-growing team. In this role you will be responsible for managing LeafLink Financial’s development of a best-in-class payments & credit management platform that will allow brands and retailers to transact through the LeafLink platform. This role will require you to digitize processes that allow cannabis operators to easily manage their accounts receivable and accounts payable operations in addition to streamlining back end processing of credit applications, underwriting procedures, payment processing and reporting. This role is highly collaborative, requires creative thinking, development expertise, and an understanding of all product offerings and platform features on LeafLink with a focus on our financial services offerings. This role will require you to interface directly with our executive, finance, client experience, sales, marketing, and engineering teams. You need to be a self-starter who is comfortable with change, enjoys a very fast pace, and can juggle many tasks and deadlines.
Experience Needed
- 2+ years as a lead or senior engineer working in Fin-Tech or financial services with a focus on digital lending, payment systems, credit risk/analytics and/or loan servicing
- 7+ years of experience engineering software with experience across product development, architecture, and DevOps
- Direct experience implementing automated payment systems (ACH, CC, etc.) and other banking services
- Identifiable track record for innovation, building and scaling notable applications
- Demonstrable knowledge of modern software providers and vendors

What You’ll Own
- Work alongside the founder of one of NYC's leading FinTech companies to build the first set of compliant, digitized financial services for the regulated cannabis industry
- Directly responsible for the development of LeafLink Financial’s suite of product offerings delivered through the LeafLink platform
- Work across teams to determine the optimal delivery of LLF features
- Be the first engineer hired for LeafLink Financial development initiatives and will help lead the initial concept development, prototyping and architecture
- Responsible for the deployment of LeafLink Financials first on platform product
