DailyPay is seeking a Head of Information Security that will serve as the company-wide authority on all matters that relate to the security of DailyPay’s information, data, and network. This role will report to the CTO and work closely with our internal operations team. This person will be responsible for the development and delivery of a comprehensive and ongoing information security strategy to optimize the security infrastructure of the organization. It is a unique opportunity for a subject-matter expert to build out DailyPay’s InfoSec practice as we scale our product with the primary goal of empowering financial security.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and approve enterprise wide security programs
• Ensure that disaster recovery and business continuity plans are in place and tested
• Review and approve security policies, controls and cyber incident response planning
• Establish identity and access policiesManage incidence response, including impact analysis and recommendations for avoiding similar vulnerabilities
• Maintain a current understanding of the IT threat landscape for the industry
• Ensure compliance with the changing laws and applicable regulations
• Schedule and manage periodic security audits, vulnerability assessment, and penetration testing
• Make sure that cyber security policies and procedures are communicated to all personnel and that compliance is enforced
• Manage all teams, employees, contractors and vendors involved in IT security, which may include hiring
• Brief the executive team on status and risks, including taking the role of champion for the overall strategy and necessary budget
• Represent DailyPay externally to vendors and clients as a cyber security expert

Core Competencies and Accomplishments:

• BS in Information Technology or Technical discipline. Advanced degree is preferred
• At least 10 years of related experience in financial services: including knowledge of regulatory rules, risk management, information security, and IT, all with 5+ years in a senior leadership role
• Prior experience in risk, information security, operations, audit or management consulting, preferably in a financial institution/environment
• Professional security management certification such as. CISSP, CCISO, CISM, and/or CISA required
• Proven track record and experience in developing information security policies and procedures
• Strong knowledge of information security best practices, standards, and frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27000, NIST 800-53, and PCI DSS
• Knowledge of technical infrastructure, networks, databases, and systems in relation to Information Technology Security and Risk Management
• Independent worker, accountable and skilled in exercising sound judgment, planning, organizational skills and decisiveness under pressure
• Experience with managing security in a cloud environment (e.g AWS)
