Broadway Roulette is seeking a Head of Product and Engineering to join its growing team. The Head of Product and Engineering will play a key role in both the planning and execution of growth initiatives, as well as manage ongoing improvements to the current system. This is a full stack product development role with a strong focus on creating a seamless customer experience.

The ideal candidate will be a developer with experience shaping new offerings for consumer-facing companies who enjoys a fast-paced environment and is comfortable making data-driven decisions. Ability to capture and analyze technical data is a must. Interest in theater/ the arts is a plus.

This is a unique opportunity for a self-starter to help shape an innovative, fast-growing company that is changing the way consumers buy event tickets and spend their free time. The role offers the chance to make a big impact in the entertainment space and we’re looking for an early team member who’s excited to grow with us. Please note: We are unable to sponsor visas. Our office is located in midtown NYC.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ideate, develop, and launch new features.
  • Maintain and continuously optimize our offerings.
  • Plan new initiatives and map out options for implementation.
  • Play an active role in the growth strategy of the company.
  • Execute tech builds cleanly and consistently.
  • Own the product: collect and analyze data to figure out new paths for improvement.

COMPENSATION

  • 100k-120k, 1%-3.5%
  • Commensurate based on experience.

REQUIREMENTS

On the technical side:

  • 3+ years of experience developing software professionally, ideally full-stack and through the whole product development lifecycle.
  • Strong grasp of modern Javascript web frameworks (React.js, React Native, Node.js).
  • Strong grasp of end-to-end web application development tools.
  • Solid working knowledge of web standards.
  • Familiarity with GraphQL and Serverless is a plus, but not necessary.

On the product side:

  • Strong grasp of UI and UX design practices.
  • Strong ability to define and implement metrics for success and failure, and to analyze what is and isn’t working.
  • Optimization mindset: you are always thinking about how things can be improved, and then testing those hypotheses.
  • Solid experience with A/B testing and analytics.

Please note that this is a full-stack development role! You will need to be comfortable writing your own code and owning every phase of product development.
