The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a Infrastructure Engineer to join our Services Team. The Services Team focuses its efforts on site reliability, system operations and software architecture. As a Services Engineer, you’ll work closely with engineers across the organization to ensure GIPHY remains available and fast. You'll build infrastructure and applications that ensure new and existing systems are scalable, predictable, and reliable.

Responsibilities:

• Lead technical initiatives from inception to completion
• Build and operate state of the art infrastructure and systems
• Build tooling and systems to assist SWE in their jobs, including modern CI/CD pipelines
• Participate in code and configuration reviews.
• Craft clear designs, design docs, and documentation
  

Qualifications:

• Strong software development experience (bonus if on the JVM)
• Strong knowledge of modern infrastructure systems, especially Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS
• Good sense of simplicity, robustness, and resilience in infrastructure design and configuration
• Experience working with a production environment with minimal downtime
• Desire to understand the business and business needs that the product and infrastructure support
• Positive attitude, and a self-directed work ethic
