Software Engineer, Infrastructure Security
Our Infrastructure Security team’s mission is to contain adversarial activity through innovative solutions. We make big bets to eliminate structural risks and improve our ability to defend against threats. We build guardrails to protect our teams instead of acting as gatekeepers.
On this team you will partner with our engineering teams to protect and defend Asana’s cloud infrastructure and provide a secure environment for engineering teams to work. You will gain exposure to the internals and best practices for securing applications in the cloud (AWS) and leverage relevant state-of-the-art infrastructure tooling to build durable security solutions.
Day to day you will
- Design, implement, manage and improve security systems and controls
- Identify and help mitigate security issues and vulnerabilities
- Design, implement and maintain secure-by-default frameworks to enable engineering teams
- Influence engineering initiatives through design reviews, communicating security constraints and helping teams make the right trade-offs.
- Leverage the structure of compliance frameworks to help identify and implement useful security controls
- Work with teammates and stakeholders to develop short and long-term strategy for managing risks
About you
- Strong interest or experience in security engineering and cloud infrastructure
- Have expertise in programming and computer science
- Excellent communication for both working with teammates and collaborating with other teams.
- Fast learner and can bring your experience and perspective to challenge and improve our security posture
- Interested in building defenses against real world attacks
- Looking for a blameless and open environment where you and your teammates empower one another moving towards a shared goal
