Integration Engineer
At Check, our customers build payroll products by integrating with our APIs, which abstract away many of the complexities of payroll and allow them to focus on delivering value to their customers. In this role, you will be responsible for the quality and speed of these integrations, ensuring that our customers architect reliable solutions and hit product development milestones on time. This role is ideal for someone eager to interface directly with our customers in a technical capacity.
In this role, you will:
- Think at a higher level about how to make Check’s product easier to build on top of, and then actually implement the engineering work that comes out of that.
- Earn the trust of and build deep relationships with the product and executive teams of our partners. You will understand their pain points and communicate those effectively to the rest of Check.
- Implement key partner requests and fix critical bugs quickly, outside the normal sprint planning process of our engineering team.
- Work directly with the Check leadership team to ensure the ongoing health of our most critical partner integrations.
- Participate in pre-sales conversations with prospective customers to give more insight into what an integration with Check looks like on a more technical level.
Many backgrounds could fit this role, but ideal candidates:
- Worked as an software engineer for 4+ years
- Have a bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Are self-directed and capable of managing multiple customer integrations at once
- Are eager to "roll up their sleeves" and get things done
Our team is distributed across the US, with hubs in New York City, San Francisco, and Atlanta.
