Bombora is seeking a resourceful, friendly, and versatile IT Engineer to help maintain our systems and support our employees and our New York office. We work in a heterogeneous IT environment where you'll be busy with a variety of responsibilities. We’re looking for a service-oriented team player with great soft skills, curiosity, and a knack for getting things done. This position allows partial work from home.
You will:
- Administrate our corporate and third-party IT services
- Troubleshoot and maintain our devices, networks, and clouds
- Ensure enterprise-caliber security, governance, and availability
- Juggle project work, user support, SaaS spikes, and on-the-job learning
- Write insightful documentation and produce engaging training material
- Collaborate with the IT Team on surfacing challenges and planning our roadmap
- Evangelize technology best practices
You have:
- An analytical mindset, exceptional communication skills, and a collegial attitude
- Extraordinary troubleshooting and forensic talents
- Experience administering Windows, MacOS, iOS, Linux, and network devices in a complex organization
- macOS management platform experience (Jamf, ABM, or similar)
- 2-3 years experience in a similar role, ideally in a startup environment
- A Bachelor or Associate’s degree in a field such as Information Systems or Computer Science; or a distinguished track record of IT excellence
Bonus points for experience with:
- Jira, Confluence, and BitBucket administration
- Kaseya, InTune, Rippling, or similar endpoint management solutions
- Automox, Patch Manager Plus, or similar patch management solutions
- Google Workspaces or other SAML providers
- Terraform, Git, or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools
- Chef, Ansible, or other configuration management tools
- Security analytics, risk management, and IT governance
- Vulnerability management and intrusion detection
- GCP, AWS and Azure Clouds
- Virtualization and containerization
- Python, Powershell, bash, or similar scripting languages
- Datadog, Stackdriver, Cloudtrail, or similar monitoring tools
- Juniper networking hardware
