About the Team

The IT Engineering team is a diverse group of technology professionals responsible for the systems and network infrastructure that powers Rent the Runway’s corporate offices, warehouses, retail stores, and drop box locations. You will be joining a strategic group that cross functionally services the Rent the Runway business and partners across the entire enterprise. The IT Engineering team is helping the company achieve scale by enabling expansion to new sites, as well as driving innovation and efficiency throughout the businesses IT processes.

About the Job

The position of IT Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for engineering and operating RTR systems including Okta, Active Directory, Azure/GCP, Windows Server, endpoint and server security, and enterprise backup systems. This role is for an experienced hands on engineer that is a subject matter expert (SME) with 5 years plus of professional experience in a mid to large size enterprise. This position will be staffed in either New York or the Dallas Fort Worth metropolitan areas. This is a hybrid-work position as there is a need to visit the facilities from time to time. Occasional travel, less than 10% may be required for special projects and training. 

 What You'll Do 

• Lead as a subject matter expert in Identity Management, federation and synchronization using Okta, Active Directory, and LDAP.
• Work with stakeholders to gather information needed for business application integration with RTR’s IAM solution for SSO.
• Improve efficiency through automation and orchestration using automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
• Provide support to the Information Security team assisting with tickets related to vulnerability management and patching of servers and endpoints.
• Support a Windows Server hybrid-cloud environment built on Nutanix and Azure/GCP.
• Oversee our SCCM and JAMF suite supporting our endpoint fleet consisting of Windows and MacOS for OS updates, MDM, self-service portal, and third-party application patching.
• Be a technology partner to the various business units in powering all warehouse facilities, retail and corporate locations with leading technology solutions.
• Contribute cross functionally to infrastructure engineering and systems administration teams responsible for Azure, Active Directory, Azure AD, Okta and Windows Servers.
• Contribute cross functionally to systems administration and technical integration including corporate software as a service (SaaS) applications and services such as Google, Office 365, Jira, Confluence, etc.
• Work cross-functionally with the network engineering team supporting IPSEC VPN tunnels, SD-WAN, routing, switching, firewalls, and wireless.
• Contribute to building and developing and operating technical systems and solutions, policies, and processes to bring best practice to RTR to enable the organization to reach higher levels of scale and efficiency
• Contribute to the implementation of new infrastructure, configuration, maintenance, and roadmaps development for existing infrastructure, as well as expansion to new sites.

About You

• Have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science and 5+ years of well-rounded IT engineering experience in a fast growing or midsize enterprise.
• Have demonstrated expertise and success using Okta, Active Directory, and LDAP.
• Have familiarity with security and vulnerability services including Rapid7, Proofpoint, and Palo Alto Coretex.
• Have experience implementing virtualization and operation of Windows Servers in a mid-sized organization.
• Have superior critical thinking and problem-solving skills in complex, disparate IT, systems and networking environments
• Have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to empathize and collaborate with colleagues, independently manage and run projects, and prioritize efforts among conflicting priorities.
• Have a working knowledge of TCP/IP networking.
