Description
The person in this role will support multiple teams responsible for developing a new in-store inventory management platform that aims to reduce shrink, improve unit variance and inventory integrity, resulting in $10+ million of savings per year. The platform includes back-end APIs, Android & Web applications, and reporting components supporting such business capabilities as receiving, cycle counts, adjustments, transfers, and return movement. The platform is being used in production on 15k+ devices across 300+ stores in the US and Canada.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Assess the current solution architecture, technical design, and code against Nordstrom engineering standards
- Build a Technical Debt backlog in JIRA based on the gap analysis report from the previous step
- Assess the complexity and time to implement the backlog
- Create a roadmap for the backlog implementation with interim rollout phases and timelines
- Manage the backlog execution according to the plan
- Communicate to the Nordstrom platform and enterprise teams, engineering teams, EMs/PdMs/POs/SMEs

REQUIREMENTS
- Solid Java 8+ knowledge
- Experience building Spring Boot microservices
- Experience with messaging
- SQL knowledge
- Knowledge of build tools (Maven, Gradle, or equivalent)
