Junior Developer - Bond Calculations

Job Description
The Junior Developer will work within our Bond Calculations Scrum Team and partner with our Trading System, Data Operations, and Reference Data Teams to enhance our existing bond calculations systems and services.
This will include iterating upon and elevating our existing FINCAD-based bond calculation services as well as playing a key role in engineering our next-generation calculation systems.
What You’ll Do
- Design and develop high performance and scalable bond calculation systems and services, both on premises and in AWS.
- Analyze and implement bond calculations for both Domestic, EU, and Emerging Markets (e.g. price, yield, spread, discount margin, fixed-to-float, accrued interest, etc.).
What You Bring to the Table
- 1-3 years of enterprise software development experience
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
- Outstanding Core Java skills
- Understanding of object-oriented design patterns
- Working experience in AWS cloud native services and Enterprise or cloud-based DBMS such as Oracle and SQL Server
- Experience with AWS serverless architecture e.g. Lambda, EC2, ECS, and/or EKS
- Strong mathematical aptitude
- A passion for collaboration and strong relationship building skills
- Interest in financial markets
- Top-notch problem resolution skills

- Fixed Income product knowledge
- AWS Certification
- Experience with Java ecosystem software such as Spring Boot, Junit, JMeter
- Worked on decomposing monolith into microservices and containers
