Prescriptive Data is seeking an experienced technical leader to take charge of our Platform Team and to spearhead efforts at transforming people, process, and product.

The Platform Team is responsible for provisioning and maintaining the complex infrastructure required by our growing application suite, consulting internally on application architectures in order to best utilize that infrastructure, and creation and support of tooling relied upon by all engineering teams.

You will oversee team efforts to automate manual tasks, create internal tools, improve and enhance our build and deploy processes, and maintain high availability of production and non-production environments. Further, your team will be responsible for providing technical guidance to internal stakeholders and enforcing team standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain software and infrastructure architectures.
• Define and standardize processes and tooling across multiple projects, working closely in tandem with technical leads to identify requirements and considerations.
• Maintain infrastructure with attention to transparency, security, availability, and cost.
• Efficiently allocate resources to meet demand without compromising thoroughness or integrity.

Skill & Abilities

• 6+ years of engineering work experience, including 4+ years in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure.
• Technical leadership experience.
• Broad understanding of security risks and best practices for cloud applications, including experience with threat modeling, network defenses, sensitive data protection, and security auditing.
• Experience with multiple CI/CD systems.
• Experience with architectural patterns for high availability and performance, especially incorporating IoT management.
• A passion for knowledge: strong documentation and educational skills.
• Familiarity with multiple public cloud providers.
• Excellent analytical skills and experience reducing complex and sometimes unclear requirements into actionable milestones and tasks.
• Experience creating compelling visualizations for stakeholders of all levels of technical expertise.
