The quality assurance team is entrusted with being our last bastion of scrutiny before we release our products to the general public. Their discerning eyes, prophetic foresight, and attention to detail helps to ensure we release amazing software.

We’re looking for highly motivated, detail-oriented individuals to assist us in delivering industry-disrupting software to finance. You’ll help validate specifications, test new features before they are released, and verify fixes to issues found within the Addepar product. Financial market experience is a plus but not required.

Role Overview 

• Involved throughout the development lifecycle with particular responsibility in the quality assurance of software development and deployment with emphasis on development and implementation of test automation. 
• Work closely with developers as they develop code to ensure continuous integration tests are implemented to ensure appropriate coverage. 
• Thinking “outside of the box” to understand the various scenarios and configurations that customers use to ensure customer quality is maintained and through doing so drive regression testing across the product stack. 
• Responsible for defining and driving innovative automated testing strategies and toolsets that support and enhance the current Quality Assurance test automation suite.

Key Responsibilities 

• Work as part of cross functional, passionate agile project teams designing, developing and supporting frameworks for our test infrastructure and providing automation expertise to our development teams.
• Research, recommend and implement tools as needed with the goal of increasing automation.
• Mentor team members on automation 
• Proactively bringing issues and problems to the attention of the team; generating, proposing and implementing innovative solutions to solve them.
• Be a creative thinker who can quickly identify and test for functional ‘edge cases’ outside of expected functionality workflow
• Overall responsibility to drive automated testing as the Team Lead in: UI Testing, Integration testing of APIs , andPerformance and scalability testing 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required

• A BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline or an equivalent amount of real-life experience
• Strong background in, and at least 5+ years of working in tooling or QA automation with expertise in problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills
• At least 3+ years of Python/JavaScript/Java programming experience
• Thorough understanding of SDLC, specifically automated QA processes in agile development environments 
• Experience in writing, executing and monitoring automated test suites using a variety of technologies including, but not limited to: JavaScript, JUnit, Selenium, Python,
• Experience in testing micro services architecture with REST-API, and ability to run performance or load tests using JMeter, Locust etc.
• Proficient with bug tracking and test management toolsets to support development processes.
• Functional experience in a financial domain such as Wealth or Asset Management or Financial Markets is a plus.
