The role:

AlphaSights is looking for a proactive and driven Senior QA Analyst to join the Technical Operations (IT) Team. We are a digital business in which continuous uptime and smooth IT experience is central to our success. The role of the Senior QA Analyst therefore represents a visible and valued opportunity for the right candidate to have an immediate impact. Working alongside our Software Engineering team and Product Managers, you will focus on supporting the user experience that is driven by the development of new and innovative products, as well as enhancing existing products and technologies.

Working largely with the teams based in New York, you will also have the opportunity to work with teams based in other offices across US, EMEA and Asia. 

What you’ll be doing:

• Become a subject matter expert on our products and services
• Set up and maintain QA environments for fast and complete testing
• Architect, plan, develop and maintain testing environments for new and existing Web applications
• Lead a QA team, alongside Management, with in-office and remote engineers.
• Identify, recommend and deploy most effective testing tools and techniques.
• Provide a hands-on role in the testing process. Write significant amounts of high-quality test cases
• Collaborate with Software Engineers and Product Managers on product roadmaps and feature acceptance criteria
• Match QA priorities with business needs and requirements.
• Provide effective and consistent communication to peers, reports and management about project status and team health
• Mentor the QA team, leading by example

You might be a fit if you:

• 3+ years of relevant QA experience within an agile (continuous deployment) environment
• Have strong knowledge and experience with test methodologies, QA process and tools, and software release cycles
• Have evident problem solving skills; strong technical troubleshooting skills
• Demonstrate proficiency in product documentation
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Focus on excellent time management, decision-making and organizational skills
• Attained Bachelor's degree, demonstrating strong academic credentials in relevant fields (Computer Science, Management Information Services, Computer Information Systems or similar)
• Enjoys working in a dynamic and developing environment
