nTopology is looking for an experienced technical leader to start our cloud scalability team. Many of our customers want to apply more compute power to large engineering problems than they can get in a desktop workstation. Working with product management, you and your team will combine the core capabilities of the nTopology product with scalable computing technologies to solve our customers' most challenging problems. Applications range from advanced design and manufacturing process execution to simulation and optimization to mass production of highly customized parts.

Can be based in New York, NY or Remote in the U.S.

What You’ll Do

• Work with product management, your team, and senior leadership to build software and systems to solve our customers' largest engineering problems
• Design, architect and implement highly secure, available, and scalable software services that complement nTopology desktop software
• Apply and improve exceptional engineering and operational practices for building and running scalable systems
• Participate in code reviews, as both an author and reviewer
• Perform incidents analyses when necessary

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant field
• Have built complex distributed systems
• 5+ years of experience as a professional full-stack engineer working on web applications at scale
• 3+ years of experience building infrastructure as code with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• 2+ years of experience using React, Angular, or other front-end frameworks
• Experience developing in a modern programming language such as Python, C++, and JavaScript
• Proficiency with Javascript (ES6 and up), HTML/CSS
• Proficiency in designing schemas and queries for relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excited to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented growing company

It's a Plus If You Also Have

• Experience with high performance computing (HPC) systems and scientific computing
• C++14/17 experience (smart pointers, RAII, etc)
• Experience with Linux as a user and programmer
