Job Description

Do you have a passion for managing physical and virtual server and network environments? Are you up to date with the best practices and emerging trends in network infrastructure? Does working in a collaborative environment make you contemplate leaving your current role?

If so, you are in the right place! We are looking for someone who will provide our operations and development teams with knowledge, best practices and technical advices in network management.

This position requires someone who is has a deep understanding and knowledge of core networking concepts and is able to develop, deploy and maintain wide area network architecture through a varying degree of technologies.

The Network Engineer will report directly to the infrastructure team lead and work together with the rest of management team and employees. They will be responsible for leveraging a wide range of technologies and tools to build intelligent infrastructure systems, scalable automation, and managing our centralized IT, for Tipico USA. The position holder ensures this is done by doing the following:

• Planning, designing, monitoring and maintenance of heterogenous physical/virtual server and network environments. 
• Operate network and firewall infrastructure, e.g. Cisco, Checkpoint, DELL, HP 
• Build self-service structures through automation and implementation of software-defined networking 
• Ensure optimal reliability, integrity and security by realizing and evaluating security/intrusion detection scans. 
• Provide operations and development teams with knowledge, best practices and technical advices 
• Participate in 24/7 on-call duty. 

Qualifications

• University Degree: Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Computer Science or in an equivalent field 
• Network Engineering: 5 years of professional experience in system and network administration 
• Strong Skillset: Enterprise-level expertise in setup, maintenance and troubleshooting of systems and network infrastructure and software products (VMware or OpenStack) 
• Security: Solid knowledge in security/vulnerability scans, penetration tests and relevant protocols/security concepts 
• Architecture: Knowledge in architecture and design of physical and virtual network topologies 
• Cloud: Experienced with AWS or Azure 
• Infrastructure: Experience in infrastructure monitoring, ITIL processes and automatization workflows
