Joining Collibra's Operations team:

  • You will share subject matter expertise on a variety of performance tools relevant to our business environment
  • You will develop and promote the performance knowledge of cross-functional agile teams and provide guidance and play an advisory and auditing role enabling developers to test
  • You will help to define and maintain performance monitoring, metrics and promote a performance awareness within Engineering

Performance Test Engineers at Collibra are responsible for:

  • Defining the performance test strategy and interfacing with the Engineering team to develop the necessary test plans
  • Creating performance frameworks as per identified needs and writing performance test scenarios
  • Cooperating with the CI/CD teams to embed performance testing into the build pipelines, as well as with product management and the engineering teams to determine the performance and volume targets for the product
  • Taking part in performance-related initiatives to increase the knowledge and awareness of performance engineering throughout the entire engineering team, as well as providing guidelines and support to the engineering teams on developing the necessary performance tests
  • Defining the metrics to measure the product performance in production and work together with the teams and cloud operations to implement them, and additionally building performance reports showing the state and progress (internally and for customers)

You Have:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Performance Engineering
  • An excellent understanding of software performance engineering fundamentals like workload models, responsiveness, utilization, and scalability as well as differences between production and test environments like containers, cloud, virtualization, and configuration management..
  • An active engineering background with in-depth knowledge of technologies like Java, SQL (PostgreSQL), build pipelines (CI/CD), Apache Spark, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes and experience working with Performance tools like: jMeter, gatling, k6
  • Knowledge of systems environments like shared resources, components, and services, CPU, memory, storage, network, and soft resources
  • Familiarity with JavaScript, REST, GraphQL (optional)

  • Someone who understands performance challenges native to service-oriented application
  • An effective communicator, bringing your vision to the team and customers

Reporting to Collibra's Senior QA Manager, measures of success are:

  • Within your first month, you will get an understanding of tools and processes used in Performance testing in Collibra
  • Within your third month, you will be able to identify most important areas for improvement and propose solutions that will benefit our Customers
  • Within your sixth month, you will be able to confirm performance improvements in areas you have identified earlier
