Position: Software Engineer, PowerBI Developer
Location: 360 Lexington Avenue, New York, NY 10017
POSITION & TEAM OVERVIEW:
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated technical talent to pursue a career in an innovative and fast-growing company. This role sits in the Product Research and Development department. The mission of the Product Research and Development department is to build business intelligence applications to solve practical marketing analytics problems. The Software Engineer, PowerBI Developer will help create, develop various charts, visualizations, and dashboards. This role will be an integral part of shaping the development suite for our next-generation analytic solutions designed and built for our global clients. We work within an agile environment utilizing SCRUM concepts. This position offers tremendous professional growth and continuous development opportunities.
At the core, this role is responsible for creating next generation reports and dashboards as well as turn data into meaningful visuals and insights. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE YOU WILL NEED:

  • Bachelor's degree: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 1.5+ years of formal professional experience as a report developer
  • SQL - Highly Proficient
  • Experience in writing complex DAX functions in Power BI, Power Query, Power BI Embedded
  • Ability to develop charts, matrix, and complex designs
  • Experience in Power BI Report Server / desktop / on-prem experience), Power BI Content packs, templates, integrations, and security
  • Proven track-record of utilizing SQL queries
  • Experience connecting multiple data sources (SQL Server, MySQL, etc.)
  • Data Visualization Design and Best Practices - Highly Proficient
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Required: PowerBI, MySQL, SQL Server, Azure
  • Optional: JIRA, GitHub
