In this role, you will function as a technical leader for a team, within ADP's CTO office, building an innovative security information system which integrates with application development. The system provides comprehensive visibility and management of application security for Developers, Architects and Business leaders at a fine-grained level.

As part of a team, you will build and architect system modules and CI/CD scripts following agile principles. You will interact with ADP's security organization and Security SMEs to understand requirements and security information flows. You will work with team members through direct collaboration and code review.

To thrive in this role, you'll need to have experience with application development, in an enterprise setting, with demonstrable competence in module-level architecture and development, using Java or Python. You should have worked with security systems and/or DevSecOps and be interested in digging deeper in these technologies. By joining this team, you will build tools that respond to the daily headlines on security vulnerabilities and cyber-threats, and come to a deep understanding of the technology required to respond to these challenges.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Here's what you can expect on a typical day in the life of a Principal Application (Security) Engineer at ADP.

• Scrums. You'll start each day with a scrum, working with the team to complete tasks, identify any issues, and communicate coding priorities. As a technical leader, you will help the team triage issues and problem solve in a collaborative fashion.
• Work with Security SMEs. Create features and information flows that implement and enforce ADP security requirements
• Work with Product Owners. Design and document system architecture that implements new features and capabilities.
• Development and Coding. Hands on development and testing of system modules and CI/CD scripts.
• Experience. You have 12+ years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE: 

• You'll have a Bachelor's degree OR equivalent.
• Prior experience that would give you extra comfort in the role includes:
  • Modern tools and technologies, including microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD.
  • Subject matter expertise in one or more areas in security, such as application security, encryption, PKI, Identity Management.
